  1. Artificial Intelligence

The science of Artificial Intelligence will continue to advance in a series of four waves, the first of which will be AI deployment. According to his most recent book, “AI Superpowers,” supercomputers will be able to learn from the oceans of information and data available on recommendation engines via algorithmic systems. These systems will progress to the point where they will be able to detail people’s lives simply by gathering information from the internet and our browsing habits, including personalities, desires, demands, and demographic data. Consider this: every time you use the internet to conduct a search, order a product, chat with a friend, or do anything else, you are providing data.

  1. The Hyperloop

Elon Musk’s dream vision of transporting commuters down a tunnel at speeds of up to 700 mph is the Hyperloop. Pods within a vacuum tube transport passengers from one depot to another, and the Hyperloop will be capable of transporting passengers on commutes that would otherwise take 7.5 hours in a train in just 35 minutes. Testing plans are currently in the works. In 2015, UCI students entered the SpaceX competition to design the HyperXite using computer modelling programmer, winning an award for their contributions and response to Musk’s whitepaper.

  1. Robot dexterity

Robot dexterity is another computer technology that represents the wave of the future. This technology also includes the use of artificial intelligence, which occurs as robots teach themselves how to gain dexterity in order to make their movements appear more natural and less robotic. The robots practice by picking up and moving objects repeatedly. We have not yet developed a program that will allow robots to figure out how to do this, but work on these programmers is currently in progress. Can you imagine the implications of a robot that can teach itself new skills? This technology incorporates virtual training as well as the calculation of required movements.

  1. Pervasive computing

This is a new computer technology being developed by the IBM Corporation. The technology entails the specialization of computer servers and hub computers through software that fields information requests and determines which type of platform is the best choice for relaying information, such as a PC, cell phone, pager, or other hand-held device.

  1. 5G wireless

Fifth generation wireless, or 5G, is a future technology that will enable faster wireless connectivity and data transmission and reception in the blink of an eye. We all remember how easily the first public internet connections became clogged when there were too many users online at the same time. According to Collin McDonnel’s examination of the new technology that will lead us into the future, new generations of wireless are expected to increase the speed of connectivity to meet the demands of up to a thousand times more users than are currently availing the services.

  1. Wearable ECG

This is computer technology in the same class as an Apple Watch or a Fitbit. What it amounts to is a computer in the form of a wristwatch that can detect if the wearer is going into Atrial Fibrillation, which could help predict the likelihood of blood clots and possible stroke. The FDA has approved AliveCor’s device, which includes an ECG feature on the watch. This computer technology has implications for obtaining the medical assistance required to mitigate the effects of cardiac-related health events.

  1. Computer vision

CV stands for Computer Vision. This technology enables chip-based recognition, which can be used in major cities to assess population density, usage patterns, average speeds driven on specific streets, and resource utilisation. There have been some privacy concerns raised, but this type of computer technology could save millions of dollars in analyst fees for analysing important statistics used in city planning and other municipal strategies. CV works by detailing what happens in a city and when it happens, and its long-term implications include real-time 3D maps and guidance for autonomous vehicles.

  1. Seamless talking AI Assistants

Because of the irregularities in the speech pattern, most of us can tell when we’re dealing with an AI assistant.New computer technology aims to improve these communications by allowing these assistants to speak in a conversational manner and recognise nearly every word spoken as well as every command or request given.

Google’s new BERT system was tested and found to be as intelligent as humans when it came to filling word gaps in a multiple choice test setting.

These assistants will eventually be capable of taking notes at important meetings, researching information for human users, online shopping, and much more.

  1. Centralized intelligence

Bill Gates has spoken out about the post-computer age, in which technology will advance far beyond the traditional PC in smaller and less expensive forms. This would be a transformative technology that involved feeding massive amounts of data to information appliances that functioned similarly to personal computers but were (plugged into a universal data network that could change the way we access and use information.

  1. Mixed reality (MR)

Most of us have heard of virtual reality, also known as VR, but mixed reality technology combines virtual reality, physical reality, the use of computer graphics, and the creation of immersive experiences. It has been suggested that this type of technology could even serve as a replacement for mobile phones. It has enormous implications for how we communicate with one another, enjoy entertainment, and there is hope that it will even be useful for first responders in accessing vital health information for people in emergency situations.

  1. Embedded personal devices

We are approaching a period in which a plethora of embedded personal devices will enter the market. This branch of computer technology is concerned with the miniaturization of computers into microchips that are embedded in virtually any type of device imaginable, from wearable electronics to vehicles or household appliances. With this technology, which has only recently become available, you will be able to give commands remotely, and there are plans to continue development and expansion in the future.

  1. Hand held computing

Craig Mundie, a senior VP at Microsoft, does not believe that PCs will fade into obscurity, as some do. Rather, he believes they will serve as the foundation for the new wave of handheld computing technology that is just beginning to sweep the world. PCs have been around for a long time, but there has been a significant increase in the number of handheld computing devices, and it is predicted that the PC will continue to shrink in size and become more powerful as time passes.

  1. Machine learning

Machine learning is yet another cutting-edge technology in the field of computer science. Machine learning has a bright future in the medical field. The goals of further developing this technology are to extend the analytical processes beyond the human intellect’s capacity to learn more about health care and appropriate diagnoses and treatments.

  1. Big Data computing

The use of Big Data in the medical field is assisting first responders in gathering more information about the patients they serve in a shorter period of time. While this science has not yet been perfected, it shows promise for the future in terms of saving more lives in emergency situations. The collection and collation of diverse and complex data requires hours of human intervention for collection, categorization, and updating. All of these processes take time, and the data is constantly prone to corruption due to human error. Advances in Big Data collection and management have enormous implications for delivering more complete and accurate information to assist professionals across all industries in making important decisions that impact businesses as well as the well-being of some.

  1. 3-D Printing technology

3-D Printing is a computer technology that is constantly being improved in order to analyse and create tangible goods that blow people’s minds. These printers come in all shapes and sizes, and some are used to build homes in areas where there is a housing shortage, and the medical community is now looking to the technology for developing supplies such as prostheses, biological components, and tissue engineering to be used in the regeneration of human tissue and pharmaceuticals.

  1. ECG Apparel

Another health-related impact of computer technology advancement is the development of health-monitoring clothing. The development of a T-shirt embedded with heart monitoring smart materials allows the shirt you’re wearing to track your cardiac functions and detect arrhythmia by processing data gathered from a complex algorithm process that measures and assesses heart beats and uploads them via a Bluetooth device.

  1. Decentralized computing

Decentralized computing is a new trend in computer technology that has implications for political, social, and economic impacts as data silos are unbundled. Users will have greater access to data that is currently used for monetization by larger companies, and it is more likely that this will result in a more balanced distribution of at least the opportunity to increase personal wealth. It will also make running a personal cloud server as simple as using available subscription services without security risks.

  1. The mobile evolution wave

It is believed that we are only at the beginning of the mobile evolution and that we still have a long way to go. Mobile technology has yet to reach its full potential, and the development of new types of MT, such as wearables and smarter apps, is just around the corner. It has also been suggested that this new technology will bring consumers into a more real-time existence when it comes to shared experiences, health care, and shopping.

  1. Smart cars with alcohol detectors built in

Another new computer-based technology being developed is a system that can be installed in a vehicle and will automatically scan blood in the driver’s fingertips right through the steering wheel to determine if there is a high level of alcohol in the bloodstream. When a risk is detected, the car is immobilised, and the driver is not permitted to operate the vehicle while cognitively impaired. This technology has the potential to make roads safer for drivers and pedestrians, as well as lower auto insurance premiums.

  1. The Internet of Everything

The Internet of Everything is one of the most significant future waves in computer technology. This is a technological system that connects all products to the internet via sensors. With this information, the possibilities for connecting your glasses to a system that will schedule your net eye exam or your toothbrush automatically scheduling a dental appointment if you have cavities in your teeth are limitless.

  1. Smart Food Labels

Smart food labels are another intriguing computer technology that represents a wave of the future. We waste a lot of food because we don’t read the labels, and foods tend to expire before they are used. Many consumers only read the label after retrieving an item from storage and preparing it for use. Smart labels are already in use for the visually impaired, and as food in containers approaches its expiration date, bumps appear on the otherwise smooth label, indicating whether the item should be used or discarded.
